WHAT ARE BIOMIMETIC PEPTIDES?

Index

The Biomimetic Peptides contained within Ialips Serum, have physiological botulin-like action. They naturally inhibit the release of Acetylcholine at the SINAPSIs of the plasma membrane of muscle cells and, by modulating the release of Acetylcholine, contribute to a natural anti-wrinkle action: this is referred to as the ” Botox Like“.

How do Biomimetic Peptides act?

The “Botox Like” is given by specific biomimetic peptides, small amino acid chains that are shorter and less complex than proteins whose function is as cellular messengers. Biomimetic peptides, in fact, selectively bind to receptors on the cell wall, mimicking the endogenous messenger. In this case, the peptide performs a function with an effect similar to botulinum toxin.

“Clostridium botulinum” is a bacterium that secretes a toxin that causes paralysis of muscles. It acts at the neuromuscular junction by preventing the release of acetylcholine. Botulinum toxin is extremely active, being one of the most potent poisons known to man.

For this reason, localized injections of pharmaceutical toxin are used to smooth expression lines.

The “Botox Like” of biomimetic peptides, therefore, naturally and noninvasively simulates the effect of botulinum toxin microinjection. The goal is to achieve natural relaxation of facial muscles, thus making expression lines less noticeable.

Biomimetic peptides are synthetic peptides that are created to mimic natural peptides in biological systems. Within Ialips Serum, biomimetic peptides are intended to intervene physiologically and specifically on skin aging.

Biomimetic peptides non-botox-like are chemical messengers that bring nourishment to cells. All peptides contain amino acids, which are used by the skin to produce proteins such as collagen, elastin, and keratin. Such proteins ensure the proper firmness of the skin.

Biomimetic peptides have been added to the cosmetic formula of Ialips serum to achieve specific results such as wrinkle reduction, hydration and restoration of the skin barrier..

What is glutathione?

The Glutathione is a very powerful antioxidant tripeptide present in our body. Glutathione helps to counteract and neutralize free radicals that are formed as a result of exogenous stressors: e.g. UV rays, pollution, poor diet, smoking, etc….

As biological systems age, they gradually lose their ability to neutralize free radicals.

Another example of a biomimetic peptide is the Biomimetic Glutathione, which helps neutralize free radicals and reduce oxidative stress, thus exerting a marked natural anti-aging action.
