CLINICAL CASE: BALDNESS IS AGELESS
Patient treated with Restax 30cps + 30 softgels

Male patient, 1980s. Progressive thinning “only” in recent years (Fig.1). Active sex life. The goal is to stop the process and achieve regrowth.
Therapy: Finasteride x os 1mg/day
Side Effects: Decline in libido after month II of Finasteride cp therapy (never occurred previously). The patient is satisfied and still wishes to continue this type of therapy in the absence of other treatment options.
Second therapy: Restax 30cps + 30 Softgels, 1+1 cp/day for the first 3 months combined with Minoxidil x os 2.5 mg/day
CONCLUSIONS:
- L’androgenetic alopecia is not an age-related condition, it can occur at any time of life, and similarly, therapy can be effective at any age; therapeutic efficacy may, however, be related to the severity of the disease.
- The world of nutraceuticals has also evolved, with increasingly targeted and effective solutions, to be considered a monotherapy in cases of telogen effluvium (post-covid, seasonal, post-therapy, etc.) or a supportive therapy in cases of alopecia
