The product, therefore, was designed primarily to facilitate the work of the physician and pharmacist and speed up the production of trichological galenic preparations: thanks to its rich and complete formulation, it allows pharmacists to greatly simplify the process of creating a galenic compound also by virtue of the fact that it solubilizes most of the pharmacological actives of trichological interest.
TRIVIS Galeno Wikenfarma is the basic solvent for galenic lotions developed to solve the frequent solubility problems of Minoxidil and other active ingredients of trichological interest that are difficult to dissolve satisfactorily. In fact, the product is capable of solubilizing Minoxidil up to 5 percent without particular difficulty and does not contain propylene glycol, the classic solvent of choice for Minoxidil, which, unfortunately, can give rise to skin irritation.
What is the composition of TRIVIS GALENO?
Trivis Galeno Wikenfarma is mainly composed of ethyl alcohol, glycerol, isopropyl alcohol, and water: their combined action allows for the effective solubilization of actives of trichological interest, which are often low-polar and difficult to solubilize in either water or organic compounds.
None of the product’s components are found to be irritating; on the contrary, the presence of glycerol compensates for the dehydrating action of ethyl alcohol, resulting in a basic solvent that DOES NOT DRY, IRRITE, OR HURT . Trivis Galeno Wikenfarma has undergone numerous in vivo tests, so it has been classified as DERMATOLOGICALLY TESTED.
The composition of TRIVIS GALENO includes 18-beta glycyrrhetinic acid, an important natural anti-inflammatory of plant origin, and growth factors in liposomal form contained within soy lecithin micelles and obtained from plant bio-placenta, specifically EGF, IGF-1, acid FGF, alkaline FGF, and VEGF. Unlike other solvents already on the market, these actives have already been included within the starting formulation, so as to enrich it, complement it, and facilitate the work of the pharmacist and physician.
What active ingredients can it solubilize?
TRIVIS GALENO is a dermatologically tested product and ensures simple and efficient solubilization of the following pharmacological actives in additive and cumulative form:
- Minoxidil 5%
- Progesterone 1%
- Triamcinolone acetonide 0.01%
- Hydrocortisone (butyrate, base, hemisuccinate) 0.08%
- Cyproterone acetate 1%
- 17-alpha estradiol 0.025%
- Estrone 0.05%
- Finasteride 0.3%
In addition, the following active ingredients were also tested individually:
- Tacrolimus 1%
- Cetirizine 1%
- Latanoprost 0.1%
- Ketoconazole 2%
One caution in using solvent is to add the active ingredients while hot under magnetic stirring. For those solutes that are particularly thermolabile and difficult to solubilize, it is recommended not to heat the solvent above a temperature of 45°C.
