CLINICAL CASE IN TRICHOLOGY: FEMALE ANDROGENETIC ALOPECIA POST-MENOPAUSAL

In the case at hand, a 51-year-old patient with generalized scalp thinning associated with significant hair thinning was taken in charge. Following history and dermatoscopic examination, the diagnosis was that of post-menopausal Female Androgenetic Alopecia Androgenetica. To treat this condition, the patient underwent state-of-the-art therapy, achieving remarkable results with a supplement containing Agnocaste, Kudzu, and Hops combined with topical application of a lotion containing phytoextracts of Agnocaste, Blackcurrant, and Hops. The patient was also advised to apply a cleansing and sebum-regulating shampoo containing Serenoa repens and surfactants of natural origin, washing the head every other day.
The progress was documented through a photographic comparison between the patient’s condition at the first visit and those that the patient showed at the second mid-therapy follow-up visit: these photos showed significant improvement, which was also noticed and appreciated by the patient, who was deeply satisfied with the results obtained. Results that were then confirmed by the second photo attached here at the end of therapy after 7 months of treatment.
CLINICAL CASE:
Patient: Female, age 51
Diagnosis: Postmenopausal female androgenetic alopecia.
Therapy: Restax Donna Plus (1cp. Per day, taken in the Evening at dinner) + Restax Donna Lotion (2 weekly applications of 15 sprays each) + Restax Sebocare Shampoo (washing every other day) for 7 months.
