CLINICAL CASE: PATIENT WITH HEPATOSTEATOSIS AND DYSPLIDEMIA

Patient M.T. born in Naples on 01/30/1960, registered at our center with cc no. 14135

Medical history: Hepatosteatosis, Diabetes mellitus type 2, Hypertension, Mixed dyslipidemia.

At the time of the visit on 18/01/22 the patient is On therapy with: Metformin 500 mg twice a day, Enalapril 10mg in the morning.
Although the treating physician has prescribed statin therapy several times, the patient has always refused for fear of the side effects listed on the internet.

The lipid profile noted at the visit on 02/18/22 is shown in the first column of the table. In addition, the patient with hepatosteatosis reports abdominal bloating and aerophagia.

On this date, therapy is prescribed with ICARO 30cpr, 1 cp in the evening, made aware of the easy tolerability of the same.

Follow-up visit on 5/31/22: Analyzed lipid profile detected at the visit, shown in column #2 of the table.

CONCLUSIONS: To date, current therapy continues happily, even with marked reduction in abdominal bloating and aerophagia. Good overall clinical condition. Hb glycosisIata: 6.1%.
