Restax Gaba is a specific and targeted product to physiologically and naturally alleviate male Androgenetic Alopecia androgenetica in the patient with significant sleep disorders.
This is a clinical picture in which the patient has a positive history of acute or chronic stress conditions, mood disorders, anxiety disorders caused by personal or work situations, and clearly, insomnia.
Association between stress, insomnia and Alopecia
A growing body of scientific evidence indicates that conditions of mental and physical stress can alter both hair growth in the laboratory animal and hair growth in humans. Historically, the influence of stress has always been considered in the context of both alopecia areata (AA), telogen effluvium (TE) and androgenetic alopecia (AG).

Stress also can result in poor sleep quality, with associated neuroinflammation and increased cortisol production.
Neuroinflammation can then also generate perifollicular inflammation.
Cortisol, along with NGF and substance P, are also produced by the follicle, which responds to stressor events that create localized inflammation.
The imbalance of the sleep-wake cycle, therefore, ultimately results in shorter anagen duration since cortisol, NGF, and substance P contribute to rapid follicle transition to catagen when their follicular concentrations increase.
The combination of these biological phenomena contributes to aggravating androgenetic alopecia, and thus requires a slightly different and more specific treatment approach than the same disease experienced by the patient with an optimal sleep quality profile

Recommended way of use: Take one capsule daily between meals.
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
Lactium®: Milk protein hydrolysate containing α-casozepine, obtained by digestion by trypsin from αS1-casein. Lactium ® has demonstrated high affinity and selectivity for GABA-A receptors at the CNS level, consequently stimulating the activity of gamma-amino butyric acid (GABA), a neurotransmitter with hypnotic, anxiolytic and sedative effects.
Several double-blind randomized clinical trials have demonstrated the efficacy and safety of Lactium ® at a dose of 150 mg/day in the treatment of stress-related disorders and sleep disorders, in the absence of toxicity and unwanted side effects.
Phytosterols (β-sitosterol): Plant-derived sterols with known cholesterol-lowering properties. In particular, β-sitosterol has been shown to have antiandrogenic effects at both the prostate and hair follicle levels, possibly due to a reduction in the bioavailability of cholesterol in the local microenvironment, with a reduction in testosterone biosynthesis and 5α reductase activity. β-Sitosterol has been shown to be effective in improving hair density in patients with androgenetic alopecia and would appear to inhibit the expression of genes involved in inflammatory processes at the keratinocyte level.
Antioxidants
- Astaxanthin: plant-derived carotenoid extracted from green alga Haematococcus pluvialis and known for its high antioxidant and anti-inflammatory power.
- CAP: Proanthocyanidins, a class of polyphenols found in many varieties of botanical species including pine bark, with antioxidant, hypoglycemic and hypolipidemic properties.
