As every year, it could not miss the regular appointment with the format “20 CLINICAL CASES IN TRICOLOGY” completely organized and sponsored by Wikenfarma that every year represents a very important moment of sharing and updating for the medical class of dermatologists and trichologists from all over Italy. This year, Wikenfarma announces with great honor and pride that the number of participants went far beyond that of past years and any expectations, so much so that the event overbooked and reached 170 attendees compared to the 100 expected.
Organized with care and dedication, this congress provided a unique stage for sharing the latest updates, best techniques and most significant experiences in the field of trichology.
In this regard, special thanks go to the president of the congress, Dr. Fiorella Bini, and the scientific direction composed of distinguished and experienced figures in the field of trichology: Prof. Andrea Marliani, Dr. Piero Tesauro, Dr. Paolo Gigli and Prof. Torello Lotti. Without their contribution the realization of the congress would not have been possible. However, sincere thanks are also due to all the speakers and moderators who created the content of the event through the presentation of clinical cases: Dr. Gaetano Agostinacchio, Dr. Alessia Pini, Dr. Silvia Cianchi, Dr. Claudio Comacchi, Dr. Donato Di Nunno, Dr. Elisabetta Fulgione, Dr. Graziella Babino, Dr. Paolo Gigli, Dr. Chiara Insalaco, Dr. Fulvio Rocco Martone, Prof. Silvia Moretti, Dr. Antonella Parlageli, Dr. Nicolò Rivetti, Dr. Ilaria Scandagli, Dr. Antonio Soverina, Dr. Lucia Villa.
A special mention goes to Dr. Andrea Vanni, who presented a national premiere, the project of the School of Trichology founded in Florence by the Italian Society of Trichology(SITRI).
Scientific sessions were the centerpiece of the congress, with a series of engaging clinical case presentations and insights into key topics in the field of trichology. Dermatologists had the opportunity to share their experiences, discuss challenges encountered in daily practice, and take cues from the approach and techniques adopted by colleagues from across Italy.
But how did the Congress practically take place?
Similar to previous years, the day was divided into four different sessions interspersed with a Coffee Break at 11 a.m. and a Light Lunch at 1:20 p.m. The first session opened with a presentation by Dr. Fiorella Bini, president of the Italian Society of Trichology (S.I.Tri.), and an overview by Dr. Massimiliano De Carlo, CEO of Wikenfarma, who outlined the company’s latest news and all the successes achieved in the year just ended. Among them, a special mention goes to the launch of the brand TriVIS, a range of premium products for the treatment of certain trichological pathologies, and the launch of the peculiar TriVIS Galeno Wikenfarma solvent, which allows to facilitate the work of the doctor and pharmacist in the preparation of galenic formulations.
At the beginning of the first session, four reports were made from the titles:
- Empirical, topical and practical therapy of Androgenetic Alopecia with Dutasteride
- Innovative solvent for galenics
- Aspirin intake at low dosages and clinically detectable minoxidil activity. The switch on sulfotransferases
- Estrone-deficient alopecia in postmenopause: diagnosis and treatment
These were carefully presented by: Prof. Andrea Marliani, Dr. Paolo Gigli, Prof. Torello Lotti and Dr. Silvia Cianchi. This was followed by many clinical cases from the various speakers, who provided a practical and fresh overview of the treatment of a variety of pathologies with trichological focus.
In addition, the format organization this year included a session entirely devoted to LIVE EXAMINATIONS on volunteer patients, carried out by Dr. Fiorella Bini, Dr. Piero Tesauro and Dr. Paolo Gigli in front of the audience of physicians with the help of instruments for scalp analysis and the cooperation of patients who decided to participate.
These “live” visits further enriched the participants’ experience by offering interactive sessions on advanced diagnostic techniques, innovative therapies and surgical procedures. This format allowed participants to compare their medical approach with that of some of the most prominent opinion leaders nationwide.
In summary, the huge success of the fourth edition of the Congress “20 Clinical Cases in Trichology” had a truly unexpected resonance, which pleasantly impressed both the company and the medical profession itself. So many participants interacted thanks to TELEVOTER and contributed to the Event and made it, as every year, unique in every way.
