CLINICAL CASE: PATIENT WITH METABOLIC SYNDROME

Patient D1.F. born in Naples on 2/25/1936, registered at our center with cc no. 533
Medical history: suffering from Diabetes mellitus type 2 that arose in the year 2015 and has been followed by our Diabetes Center ever since. From an occupational point of view, he is a postal employee. He does not smoke or consume alcohol. On pathological history emerges : Obesity I degree, hypertension, dyslipdemia, hyperuricemia. Absence of chronic complications related to diabetic disease.
Initial therapy: Metformin 1000 x 2, Ramipril 5mg
Starting in January 2021, therapy with ICARO 30cpr because he suffers from hypercholesterolemia.
First Hematochemical examinations performed on 27/01/2021.
CONCLUSIONS: After 6 months of therapy with Icaro 30cpr, the patient has strongly reduced LDL cholesterol without any side effects. In addition, we have an important increase in HDL cholesterol.
