Now a regular event in the Italian medical scene, the 5th theoretical-practical course “Clinical Cases in Trichology” organized by Dr. Silvia Cianchi, Scientific Director of the congress, was held on Sunday, October 15, 2023, in Montevarchi. The theoretical-practical course was held at theGaetano Palloni Health Institute of Bianalisi Group S.p.a., which kindly hosted all participants at its facility. The event was fully sponsored by the S.I.Tri.(Italian Society of Trichology), of which Dr. Fiorella Bini is president and Prof. Andrea Marliani president emeritus. The congress was attended by many sponsors, primarily Wikenfarma, who helped enrich the event with their participation.
"Clinical Cases in Trichology 2023": the steps of the Congress.
During the 5th theoretical-practical course “Clinical Cases in Trichology 2023,” there were presentations of a large number of clinical cases by specialists in the field of trichology divided into two separate sessions. The third session, however, was a practical session. The moderators of the three sessions were: for the first session, Dr. Silvia Cianchi and Dr. Fiorella Bini; for the second session, Dr. Annalisa Beatini and Prof. Andrea Marliani; and for the third session, Dr. Silvia Cianchi and Dr. Alessia Pini.
As previously mentioned, the event was divided into 3 sessions, interspersed with a coffee break (at 11:00 am) and a working breakfast (at 1:00 pm). The two moments were kindly offered by Wikenfarma (parent company of RestaX and TriVIS brands), the star sponsor of the entire course. It began at 8:30 a.m. with registration of participants, with two breaks at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., and ended at 3:00 p.m.

"Clinical Cases in Trichology": what topics were covered?
Among some of the topics covered, we could mention hair malformations, innovative techniques in trichological galenics, scarring alopecia, function of the scalp microbiota, scalp biostimulation; but in general, every single talk contributed to make the event really full of interesting notions and therapeutic protocols. The last session, the third, was instead a practical session of HD trichoscopy, scalp carboxytherapy, scalp biostimulation, and some practical reflections.
Finally, there was a time for CME questionnaires to be filled out and certificates of attendance to be handed out.
