Let us therefore briefly describe these two conditions. Estrone Carential Alopecia, often considered a variant of Female Androgenetic Alopecia, today affects about    <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">35% of women<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. As the name implies, the causative factor is a deficiency, either in the production or in the action, of estrone by the follicle locally. <\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Probably caused by reduced activity of <\/span><b>aromatase<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and\/or of the <\/span><b>3 alpha reductase<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Aromatase, 3 alpha reductase, and the   <\/span><b>17-betasteroid<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">  reductases convert androstenedione and testosterone to estrone. Estrone maintains matrix mitoses, maintains the durability of the <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">anagen<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and activates stem cells at the beginning of anagen itself.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">L&#8217;<\/span><b>Estrone Carential Alopecia <\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">manifests as a condition of hypotrichia. Patients manifest a loss of &#8220;mass&#8221; and thinning of hair. The pattern is centrifugal, usually at    <\/span><b><i>like Ludwig<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, also affects non-androgen-dependent parts of the scalp such as the nape of the neck. There is no miniaturization with reduction in follicular depth but rather in thickness and thin hair remains long and deep. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d532132 elementor-invisible elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d532132\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-settings=\"{&quot;_animation&quot;:&quot;fadeInUp&quot;}\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Telogen Effluvium is the most frequent cause of trichological examination. Hair loss diffusely affects <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">the entire head<\/span>, including the sides and back. When effluvium is significant enough to cause thinning the resulting alopecia is homogeneous over the entire scalp. We usually distinguish <strong>acute<\/strong>, subacute, and <strong>chronic<\/strong> <strong>Telogen Effluvium<\/strong>. Chronic Telogen Effluvium, certainly the most severe, is a disorder that almost exclusively affects the female sex, has a multifactorial genesis, and is characterized by profuse hair loss (more than 100 hairs per day). It may be associated with a chronic inflammatory state.     <\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The cause or causes are not intuitive and often nuanced: persistent psychological problems, inadequate diets, drug administration, chronic autoimmune diseases such as SLE, ulcerative colitis, etc&#8230; Among the very frequent and insidious causes of Telogen Effluvium are chronic anemias of all kinds and autoimmune thyroiditis in hypothyroidism.
