Description
IALIPS CPS
Ialips 30 cps is a nutraceutical specifically formulated and targeted for the lady of childbearing age undergoing lip filler.
The goal of Ialips is to make lips more voluminous, hydrated, plumped, and make the filler’s success better and longer lasting.
Wikenfarma research with Ialips, has designed a comprehensive product, consisting of 8 active ingredients that in synergy offer maximum results already after the first 12 weeks of treatment.
COLLAGEN – A component of the extracellular matrix along with elastic fibers and hyaluronic acid, collagen may constitute more than 70 percent of the dry weight of the human dermis. Taken orally, peptides derived from collagen hydrolysis are absorbed intestinally with blood levels present for more than 24h and bio-distribution at the dermal level. Intake of collagen peptides promotes regeneration of dermal elastic and collagen fibers and reduces collagenase and gelatinase levels, improving skin turgor, reducing trans-epidermal water loss, and increasing skin hydration and elasticity. A randomized double-blind controlled study showed improved hydration and skin elasticity after 12 weeks of oral treatment with collagen peptides. Another multicenter study showed improved skin turgor, increased dermal collagen density, and reduced depth of nasolabial furrows with results similar to those obtained in patients undergoing fillers.
SODIUM HYALURONATE – Hyaluronic acid is present in all connective tissues and organs, including the skin. Controlled clinical studies have shown that daily intake of hyaluronic acid improves skin condition in terms of wrinkle depth, stratum corneum water content, trans-epidermal water loss, and skin elasticity, in the absence of side effects.
CHONDROITIN SULFATE – Glycosaminoglycan important for the structure of the extracellular matrix and involved in various processes such as proliferation, differentiation, and cell migration. Oral treatment with chondroitin sulfate increases proliferation of keratinocytes and fibroblasts, promotes biosynthesis of extracellular matrix components by promoting tissue regeneration.
SELENIUM METHIONINE – Selenium is an essential trace element in the human body and plays an important role in the body through seleno-proteins (glutathione peroxidase, thioredoxin reductase, methionine sulfoxide reductase, and endoplasmic reticulum-selenoprotein, etc.) that have antioxidant effects and are involved in the regulation of antioxidant activities. Selenium contributes to the reduction of reactive oxygen species-mediated inflammation, reduces DNA damage and prolonged telomere length, and thus plays a role in combating aging and preventing aging-related diseases. Selenium in the form of seleno-methionine can also nonspecifically replace methionine in other proteins.
ECHINACEA PURPUREA E.S. – Echinacea, in addition to possessing anti-inflammatory activity, has been shown to have protective effects on skin connective tissue and to accelerate wound healing. The temporary inhibition of Jaluronidase is finally responsible for the anti-wrinkle action of echinacea and justifies its use especially in patients of childbearing age.
COENZIME Q10 – Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a natural constituent of foods and is also often used in both functional foods and supplements. In addition, it is a common ingredient in cosmetics and is believed to reduce signs of skin aging. Daily supplementation with CoQ10 results in significant wrinkle reduction and improved skin smoothness.
GREEN TEA E.S., POLYPHENOLS, CATECHINS – Catechins constitute the major polyphenols found in green tea and are known for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. In addition, a recent study showed an increase in dermal elastic fiber content in patients treated with an oral and topical green tea regimen. Green tea also appears to increase elastic fibers at the dermal level In patients of childbearing age.
OLIVE AND OLEUROPEIN EXTRACTS – Extracts of the various olive tree components, particularly oleuropein, exhibit antioxidant, anti-melanogenic activity and promote collagen biosynthesis. In vitro models also show inhibitory activity against enzymes involved in the degradation of extracellular matrix components such as elastase and extracellular collagenase, in patients in childbearing age.
COPPER – A metal normally present in our bodies, it has been shown to be effective in maintaining normal skin structure and delaying skin aging. Copper supplementation induces the expression of extracellular matrix proteins by increasing the biosynthesis of collagen and elastin at the level of dermal fibroblasts. In addition, incubation of skin grafts at different concentrations of copper has also been associated with increasing the concentrations of elastin, pro-collagen 1, and TGF-beta in the tissue.
Oral supplementation with supplements based on extracellular matrix components, combined with substances with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory effects and that support the renewal and maintenance of the matrix itself, contributes to the maintenance of elasticity, hydration and flattening of skin wrinkles, constituting a useful adjuvant following aesthetic medicine treatments.
