More than a century ago, precisely in 1920, a group of hopeful boys decided to try their hand at a project aimed at being an important outlet for youth, given the heavy climate induced by the recent war. Traces of a first club can be found in historical archives in 1918, but, according to folk tales, the Montecatini Calcio was officially born in 1920. The history of this club, created to bring lightheartedness to young Montecatinians, is marked by important triumphs, such as the historic promotion in the 1977-78 season to Serie C2, the first professional rung of Italian soccer.

Just as the Acqua di San Baronto brand was born to give value to the territory through its traditions and scents, the same importance must be given to sports and youth: this year in particular, Wikenfarma has invested significant resources to promote and help some local clubs in Pistoia. AD VALDINIEVOLE MONTECATINI fully shares the values, ideals and goals of Wikenfarma: this is precisely why the collaboration was born in a simple and direct way between the two clubs. For the occasion, support for the “herons” came from the brand Acqua di San Baronto, a brand that is an ode to the purity, tradition and intrinsic beauty of Tuscan nature.
