WOULD YOU LIKE TO UNDERSTAND WHY YOUR HAIR NO LONGER GROWS?

Every day, hundreds of men like you are discovering how to stop the ever advancing alopecia!

Index

Baldness, or androgenetic alopecia, is a very common phenomenon in Italian men; globally, in fact, Italy ranks seventh in terms of the percentage of bald men, and it is estimated that about 80 percent of Italians over the course of their lifetime suffer from some form of thinning, more or less acute.

Baldness can occur at any age, although it affects men more in the age group of 20 to 50 years of age: this phenomenon, as data have already shown, is a common process in a great many men, and at a practical level it most affects the vertex area (nape of the neck, top of the head) and the frontal area, often also affecting the parietal and temporal areas (forehead and temples). This kind of alopecia, therefore, often shows up as what is commonly referred to as “receding hairline.”

But what is this constant hair loss caused by?

Androgenetic alopecia is a gradual process that affects hair follicles, or the structures from which hair arises, miniaturizing them, making them weaker and accelerating their shedding.

On a physiological level, the process is related to Dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a male sex hormone: this binds directly to the receptors of hair follicles and makes them smaller and smaller. The follicles, if shrunken, will produce thinner and shorter hair, until the follicle itself is so small that it it cannot produce any more hair.

DHT also acts crosswise on the hair cycle, shortening its growth phase and lengthening its resting phase, until the follicle is able to grow more hair.

Why do DHT spikes occur in some men?

High levels of this hormone in the human body are mainly due to genetic factors, but there are other elements that can affect the levels of this hormone and, consequently, baldness:

  • Age: With advancing age, levels of testosterone, the precursor of DHT, tend to increase and affect DHT production.
  • Diet: A diet high in saturated fats and refined sugars can alter hormone levels.
  • Stress: Chronic stress can also alter hormone balance.
  • Environmental pollution: Exposure to chemicals in the environment can interfere with the endocrine system.
  • Drugs: Some drugs, such as anabolic steroids, can increase DHT production.
  • Medical conditions: Certain medical conditions can affect hormone levels and contribute to hair loss.

Can this imbalance be combated?

This imbalance, as severe as it may be, can certainly be modulated and, in the best situations, kept under control.

There are various solutions that can help in the regulation of DHT levels, among them are:

  • 5-alpha reductase inhibitor drugs, which block the enzyme responsible for the conversion of testosterone to DHT.
  • Dietary supplements based on:
    • Serenoa repens: plant extract known to inhibit the enzyme 5-alpha reductase and reduce DHT production.
    • Zinc: involved in testosterone production, may help regulate hormone levels.
    • Vitamin D: Some studies indicate that vitamin D has an important role in regulating DHT levels.
  • A healthier lifestyle that includes:
    • Proper nutrition
    • Better stress management
    • Regular exercise
    • Regular sleep

However, it is necessary to consider that in case the hormonal imbalance is excessive, a healthier lifestyle may not be sufficient to regulate the hormonal situation. Conversely, various pharmacological treatments may have undesirable side effects, because they are often nonspecific products that risk altering an already critical situation even more.

Is there a SPECIFIC and SAFE product that counteracts androgenetic alopecia?

To counteract high levels of DHT, promoting hair regrowth and halting hair loss, Wikenfarma research has developed RestaX 30 cps + 30 softgels: this biphasic-acting nutraceutical has, for years now, been the product most prescribed by specialists, as well as the progenitor of a brand that includes only disease-, age- and gender-specific products, as opposed to all generalist formulations on the market.

RESTAX is a product containing Serenoa Repens, Proanthocyanidins and Astaxanthin, which act by counteracting inflammation and promoting inhibition of the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase, which is responsible for the conversion of Testosterone to Dihydrotestosterone and thus hair loss.

The uniqueness of the product lies in its biphasic formulation, the first and exclusive of its kind, but above all in the use of Serenoa Repens extract in oil: unlike all competitors that use the dry extract of S. Repens, the extract in oil allows the maximum concentration of active ingredient to be obtained in the single pearl, and this makes the formulation the most effective and complete for the treatment of male androgenetic alopecia.
