Description
Restax Flogo 30cps is a product designed and specific to intervene naturally and effectively and rapidly on male androgenetic alopecia with strong inflammatory component.
Inflammation is one of the triggers that trigger baldness and specifically to male androgenetic alopecia. Targeted intervention on inflammation is critical to effectively act on the cause leading to this condition.
Wikenfarma’s careful research has created Restax Flogo, a new state-of-the-art evolved nutraceutical that has as its scientific rationale, the updated formulation of the market leader Restax 30softgel+30cps created to physiologically counteract male androgenetic alopecia.
RESTAX FLOGO
Epilobium ENOTProst®
Epilobium angustifoliumis a plant known in Europe for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, related to the synergistic activity of its many components, including mainly ellagitannins, especially enotein B.
Commonly, Epilobium, applied locally or taken as an infusion, has been used in traditional medicinefor the treatment of traumatic skin wounds, burns, gastrointestinal and urinary disorders, and menstrual pain by virtue of its reparative, analgesic, antibacterial effects. Extracts of epilobium have also long been used in various prostatic diseases, such as benign prostatic hypertrophy and prostatitis, for their anti-inflammatory, anti-proliferative, and anti-androgenic effects.
The phytochemical composition of Epilobium extracts sees the presence of fatty acids (caproic, linoleic, linolenic, etc.), aromatic acids (ellagic, gallic, etc.), sterols (campestrol, β-sitosterol, etc.), flavonoids (guaiaverine, quercetin, etc.), ellagitannins (enotein A and B, etc.).
Experimental in vitro studies have demonstrated its analgesic, anti-proliferative (cytotoxic effect and to an interference in cell cycle progression), anti-inflammatory (inhibition of LOX and COX, reduction of TNF-α), immunomodulatory (induction of neutral endopeptidase, increased immune response mediated by activation of macrophages) anti-androgenic (inhibition of aromatase and 5α-reductase), antimicrobial (broad-spectrum bactericidal effect), antioxidant (increased SOD1 levels), radical-scavenger (inhibition of membrane lipid peroxidation), anti-aging and photo-protective (inhibition of collagenase, hyaluronidase, matrix metalloprotease).Laboratory animal studies have confirmed its anti-inflammatory, anti-androgenic (reduction of prostate adenoma and decrease in seminal vesicle weight), analgesic activity, with a good margin of safety.
ENOTProst® is a standardized dry extract of Epilobium containing organic and phenolic acids, tannins, flavonoids, and ellagitans, including 15% of Enotein B. ENOTProst® was shown effective in reducing urinary symptoms related to benign prostatic hypertrophyin a double-blind controlled clinical trial.
Many compounds used successfully in prostatic hypertrophy have also shown efficacy in androgenetic alopecia. Due to its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, radical-scavenger and anti-androgenetic properties, Epilobium extract is a valuable aid in androgenetic alopecia, in synergy with the other active ingredients.
Finally, Epilobium extract in vitro appears to reduce sebum production by sebocytes and regulate innate immunity at the skin level, via the expression of defensins and TLR-2, with a potential role in sebum-regulation and reduction of colonization by Malassezia furfur. These data were confirmed in a clinical trial that hamostrated a reduction in scaling and seborrhea in patients with seborrheic dermatitis, a condition often associated with androgenetic alopecia.
Phytosterols (β-sitosterol)
Phytosterols are plant-derived sterols with known cholesterol-lowering properties.
In particular, β-sitosterol has been shown to have antiandrogenic effects at both the prostate and hair follicle levels, possibly due to a reduction in the bioavailability of cholesterol in the local microenvironment, with a reduction in testosterone biosynthesis and 5α reductase activity. β-Sitosterol has been shown to be effective in improving hair density in patients with androgenetic alopecia and would appear to inhibit the expression of genes involved in inflammatory processes at the keratinocyte level.
Antioxidants
- Astaxanthin: plant-derived carotenoid extracted from green alga Haematococcus pluvialis and known for its high antioxidant and anti-inflammatory power.
- PAC: Proanthocyanidins, a class of polyphenols found in many varieties of botanical species including pine bark, with antioxidant, hypoglycemic, and hypolipidemic properties. In addition, oligomeric proanthocyanidins help to strengthen the elasticity and functionality of the capillary bed by promoting better blood flow to tissues.
Recommended mode of use: Take one capsule daily during dinner
