The world of trichology and treatments related to hair health has been rapidly evolving for years: innovative methods and therapies are studied and tested every year in order to always guarantee patients the most advanced techniques and formulations. At the international level, the immeasurable efforts of the S.I.Tri., Italian Society of Trichology and Baldness Surgery, which focuses so much each year on scientific training in trichology. An international congress

The event held in Florence was divided into four days (May 26-27-28-29) in which there were various workshops and talks, as well as a gala dinner held on May 28. The entire Congress was held in both Italian and English thanks to a simultaneous translation service, with the exception of the Live Surgery Workshop on Thursday, May 26, and the Workshop on Friday afternoon, May 27, 2022: these two moments were held entirely in English.

The 44th S.I.Tri. On a day like this, the brand RESTAX proved to be the absolute protagonist of the Congress: its extreme focus in the trichological field and the careful attention paid to the patient have always been its strengths, just like the extreme specificity of its products divided according to age, gender and pathology of the patient. Workshops

The Congress was able to host important workshops, including the Live Surgery Workshop on May 26, which allowed a large number of physicians to engage with as many experts in the field in the international arena. During the day of May 26, in fact, the practical session was held at the Tuscan Medical Institute with the support of the ISHRS Europe Council and has been able to boast prominent members such as. Bessam Farjo, Chiara Insalaco, Piero Tesauro, Marco Toscani, Vincenzo Gambino, Otavio Boaventura, Mauro Speranzini, Nilofer Farjo, Moonkyu Kim, O. Tayfun Oguzoglu and Giorgios Zontos. Due to the division into three separate operating rooms that involved different operations from each other, physicians were able to participate in interesting and enlightening sessions from a practical point of view. In operating room 1, an operation of Long-hair autograft and frontal line reconstruction; in operating room 2, an operation of FUE to shaved hair with clerical and frontal line reconstruction using the Trumpet punch from Devroye Instruments; in operating room 3, an operation of FUE to shaved hair with cleric and frontal line reconstruction using two FUE harvesting techniques and the device called ZEUS.

Two more workshops followed on the day of May 27, 2022 at the Congress Palace: the first, “Hair Transplant Surgery: Discussions and videos from the ISHRS Europe Live Surgery Workshop”in which three different case studies were presented; the second, “Microscopy in Polarized Light”, on the other hand, involved the simulation of a trichological examination using a polarized light microscope.
